Quotes & booking

Before the truck's booked.

How do I get an accurate quote?+

Tell us the two addresses, the rough size of the move, and your preferred date on the quote form. For bigger households, we may follow up to walk through the room list so the crew and vehicle size we send actually match the job.

How far in advance should I book?+

Two to three weeks gives you the most flexibility on date and price. Month-end and first-of-month dates fill up fastest, so if your date is flexible, moving mid-month is usually the cheaper option.

Is the quoted price the final price?+

Yes — the price we confirm is the price on the invoice. If access on the day turns out to be harder than described (long carry, no parking, stairs with no lift), we'll tell you before doing extra work, not after.

Do you offer a shared or budget option for smaller moves?+

For smaller loads, we can sometimes combine your move with another heading the same direction, which brings the cost down. Ask about this when you request your quote and we'll let you know if it's available for your route.

Packing & boxes

Getting your things ready.

Do you supply boxes and packing materials?+

Yes — double-walled boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper and tape are all available, either as part of a full-service pack or to buy separately if you'd rather pack yourself.

Can I use boxes I already have?+

You can, as long as they're sturdy and not visibly worn — soft or single-walled boxes tend to give way mid-move. We can't transport loose items in plastic bags, so anything unboxed will need a container of some kind.

What does full-service packing include?+

Our crew wraps, boxes and labels room by room, usually the day before or the morning of the move. Fragile and high-value items are flagged and packed separately so they load last and come off first.

How is furniture protected in the truck?+

Every vehicle carries moving blankets and straps as standard. For anything particularly fragile or valuable, we can add extra wrapping or a dedicated crate — just flag it when you book.

On the day

What actually happens.

What's covered if something gets damaged?+

Standard transit cover is included on every move. If something's damaged in transit, it's on us to sort out. For particularly valuable items, we offer extra cover — ask about it when you get your quote.

What if the truck can't get close to my door?+

If there's no direct access for the main vehicle, we can bring in a smaller shuttle vehicle to bridge the gap. This is arranged in advance where possible, so let us know about tricky access when you book.

Do I need to be there the whole time?+

You (or someone you trust) need to be present at both ends to hand over and receive the keys and confirm the inventory, but you don't need to watch every box go in and out.

Is tipping expected?+

No — it's never required, though the crew won't say no if you'd like to.
